Why we're building Keepio

Somewhere in your home there is a drawer, a folder, or a shoebox. Inside it: your passport, an insurance policy you half-remember buying, a boiler warranty, a car document with a renewal date you're fairly sure is "sometime this year".

You'll open it exactly twice — once in a panic the night before a trip, and once when something has already expired.

Life admin is the job nobody applied for. It doesn't pay, it never ends, and the penalty for missing a deadline is real money: lapsed cover, late fees, a missed renewal that costs you the loyalty discount. Most of us cope with a mix of memory, hope, and frantic searching through email.

Documents shouldn't be filing. They should be answers.

The thing is, you almost never need the document itself. You need one fact from it. What's my policy number? When does my passport expire? Who do I call about the boiler?

That's the idea behind Keepio: scan a document once, and never dig for it again. Keepio reads it, pulls out the numbers, dates and details, and remembers them. When you need something, you just ask — in plain English — and get a plain answer.

The second half of life admin is timing. Renewals and expiries don't announce themselves; they just quietly arrive. Keepio keeps an eye on every date it finds and nudges you before anything runs out — early enough to actually do something about it.
